New hair salon at Fox Valley is a cut above the rest

A New unisex salon and barber shop has opened at the Independent Quarter at Fox Valley just in time for the run up to Christmas.
Friends Rachel Dransfield and Louise McCall have started their new business venture The Works- Hers & Sirs and have chosen the stunning setting of the Independent Quarter at the entrance of Fox Valley as the place for their boutique salon.
With over 40 years combined experience, Rachel and Louise have already gained a local customer base from years of mobile hairdressing in the area.
Rachael from Stocksbridge has years of barbering experience, previously running her own barber shop in Whitwell under the name "Rachels." She will front the walk-in barbering service at the new Fox Valley Salon.
The Works will operate a unique 6 day a week walk-in service for men, women and children alongside bookable appointments.
Louise also from Stocksbridge specialises in hair colouring, receiving several diplomas for her training. Louise will run the appointment side of the business.
The new salon provides a wide variety of services from simple cuts to highlights and advance colouring.
Rachel said: "We’re delighted to bring our new business venture to Fox Valley, the independent shops are beautiful and a real testament to the local area."

The Works - Hers & Sirs is located above Foxy Nails on the row of independent boutique stores at the entrance to Fox Valley.
Salon and walk-in opening times are Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:30pm and Saturday 10am-3pm with a late evening opening to be introduced in the New Year.
