Fox Valley and Bloor Homes announce partnership for magical Christmas Lights Switch-On
1 September 2025
The team from Fox Valley shopping centre in north Sheffield are delighted to announce a new partnership with Bloor Homes, the developer behind the brand-new Wharncliffe Park housing development in Deepcar.
Bloor Homes will be sponsoring this year’s spectacular Christmas Lights Switch-On event, taking place on Friday 14 November 2025.
As part of the celebrations, Fox Valley and Bloor Homes will also be launching a special community search to find the Bloor Local Champion – a local resident who will be given the honour of switching on the lights and officially launching the festive season at the popular shopping destination.
Wharncliffe Park is an exciting new residential development, bringing around 398 high-quality homes to the Deepcar area. The scheme offers a mix of stylish two, three and four-bedroom properties designed for a wide range of buyers, from first-time homeowners to growing families.
Bloor Homes say the development will play an important role in bringing new investment and energy to the local area, and the team is proud to be part of the Deepcar community.
Visitors to the Switch-On event can look forward to an afternoon and evening full of festive fun – with family entertainment, live performances, seasonal stalls and the return of Fox Valley’s much-loved and fabulous festive decorations. The event is a highlight of the year, regularly attracting thousands of people to celebrate together.
Claire Biltcliffe, Centre Manager at Fox Valley, said: “We’re so excited to once again bring the community together for this year’s Christmas Lights Switch-On. Partnering with Bloor Homes makes this year extra special, and we can’t wait to find our Local Champion who will play such an important part in the celebrations.”
Sam Watkins, Sales Director for Bloor Homes’ East Midlands region, added: “Wharncliffe Park is a fantastic new development which we are delivering in phases over the coming years here in Deepcar. We’re really pleased to be working alongside Fox Valley to support such a wonderful community event. Christmas is all about bringing people together, and we’re thrilled to help make this year’s Switch-On a magical evening for everyone.”
The 2025 Christmas Lights Switch-On at Fox Valley promises to be one of the biggest and brightest yet, with festive markets, family-friendly activities and live performances all leading up to the countdown moment with this year’s chosen Local Champion.
The search for the Bloor Local Champion will be launched in October, with nomination points available at Bloor Homes’ Wharncliffe Park development located off Manchester Road in Deepcar, open daily from 10am to 5pm, and at Fox Valley.
