festive Tractor run starts from fox valley this sunday

9 December 2024

Monday December 9th

Press release

The annual Bradfield tractor run will be lighting up the roads around north Sheffield this Sunday – leaving Fox Valley at 5pm for a two-hour festive spectacular.

The popular event will be bigger and brighter than ever this year with organisers hoping to reach their target of raising £8,000 for the Bluebell Wood Hospice and Weston Park Hospital.

The tractor run will be setting off from Fox Valley for the first time with around 100 vehicles expected to set off from the shopping centre car park at 5pm on Sunday December 15th.

The parade will be led by Father Christmas and Mrs Christmas along with the elves in their sleigh – they will be making their way through the villages and suburbs of north Sheffield before finishing in the Loxley Valley.

Charlotte Whittaker, Centre Manager at Fox Valley, said: “We are so pleased to be able to host the start of the tractor run here at Fox Valley, it’s a wonderful community event that residents in our part of north Sheffield really do enjoy.

“It’s also organised to raise money for some fantastic charities so we hope people will come down and cheer off the tractors as they set off from the centre. With the backdrop of our lovely Christmas lights the illuminated tractors are going to look really festive.”

There will be a prize draw for the best dressed tractor and a raffle will be held at the end of the route at The Bradfield Plough in Low Bradfield.

Visitors to Fox Valley are being advised that there will be restricted use of the centre car park to allow for the tractors to gather from late afternoon and then to leave the site.
