Family-run Bakery now open at Fox Valley

The family behind The Old Bridge Bakery in Holmfirth have opened brand new premises at Fox Valley this week.

 

Greg and Mandy Christofi founded the Old Bridge Bakery in Holmfirth in 1994 and have been regular traders at the Fox Valley weekly Friday Market. 

 

Now, Alessandro & Lucy - Greg & Mandy’s daughter and son-in-law have launched a new branch serving a range of freshly made breads, quality sandwiches, savoury pastries, patisserie, gelato ice cream, confectionary, cakes, morning pastries and their very own Yorkshire roasted coffee. the new Bridge Bakery is located next to Pontis Italian Kitchen and Zorro Lounge by Fox Valley's piazza area. 

 

The menu also features hot and cold lunch items, authentic Greek, Italian and French patisserie, shakes and smoothies.

 

Greg and Mandy will continue to trade on Fox Valley’s weekly Friday Market and monthly Farmers’ Market as the Old Bridge Bakery.  

 

Mayor of Stocksbridge, Cllr Catherine Ward, officially opened the new bakery on Saturday 5th September.

 

Alessandro said: We already have a fantastic and loyal customer base at Fox Valley from trading on the Market every week and we are now looking forward to serving our customers on a more permanent basis.”

 

Claire Reynolds from the Fox Valley Management team said: “We are really excited to welcome Alessandro, Lucy and the Bridge Bakery to Fox Valley, it will make the perfect addition to our dining out line up and create a lovely atmosphere around our piazza area!”.
