How to spend the perfect day out at Fox Valley shopping centre

Nestled between rolling hills and stunning countryside in the heart of Stocksbridge, Fox Valley is a shopping destination like no other. 

The former steelworks site has been transformed into a vibrant £50 million shopping centre offering a mix of retail shops including top brands such as Sandersons, Sports Direct and JoJo Maman Bebe, plus a range of bustling cafes, bars and restaurants. 

The centre also hosts a number of fun events and activities for all the family to enjoy throughout the year.

Grab a drink and a bite to eat

Fox Valley has an abundance of cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes, occasions and appetites.

Tired from shopping and need to rest your legs with a hot drink? Try the coffees at Raffina or one of our two Costa Coffee shops. Whether you favour Espresso, Americano, Latte or a good old cup of English tea, our talented baristas can rustle up your favourite warming tipple.      

Fancy a spot of lunch? Why not sit back and enjoy the comforting surroundings of Zorro Lounge.

The unusual -shaped building honours Samuel Fox – who established a steelworks in Stocksbridge in the 19th century and developed the famous Victorian ‘paragon’ umbrella frame – and benefits from plenty of table space and a wide, varied menu.

The venue offers a range of special deals each week, including Tapas Tuesdays (enjoy three tapas and a glass of wine for just £13.25).

Treat yourself to some high-quality Italian cooking at Ponti’s, which has something for everyone whether it’s a light lunch, post work Aperitivo sharing board, intimate dinner for two or a celebratory meal for 60. The varied menu can cater for meat and fish lovers, vegan and vegetarian tastes, plus gluten and dairy free options. 

Imagine yourself sitting back on the terrace, enjoying an Aperol Spritz or two, whilst sharing some tasty small plates such as Polpette Piccanti (beef meatballs, spicy tomato sauce, burrata, focaccia) or Perle di Ricotta e Percorino (fried, breaded ricotta and parmesan cheese balls, paprika mayonnaise). Bliss!  

Indulge in some retail therapy 

We all have our own ways of getting through the day, and for many of us a bit of retail therapy is our go to comfort blanket.

Check out the latest fashion trends at Sandersons Boutique Store, which is home to a range of international and independent brands including ladies and men’s fashion, perfumery, homewares, footwear and much more by top brands including Barbour, Weekend Max Mara, and Boss.

There is also a fabulous Beauty Lounge where you can find a wide range of natural, organic and cruelty-free cosmetic and skincare brands.

Bargain hunting? Try The Range which offers a wide selection of great value products from luxurious home furnishing items to DIY lines, while Home Bargains carries a wide range of top quality, high street brands – from health and beauty products to household goods, food and toys – all at reasonable prices.

If your little ones are in need of a new outfit, look no further than JoJo Maman Bébe, which offers an original and stylish range of pre-school, baby and maternity wear as well as unique nursery décor. The Fox Valley store is also the only one in South Yorkshire. 

If shoes are your thing, then pay a visit to our newest retailer Pavers. The store can be found by the fountains at the side of Ponti's Italian Kitchen and has a wide range of footwear for adults, selling everything from shoes and trainers, to boots and slippers. 

The company offers a wide range of brands including Fly Flot, Skechers, Padders and many more. For the fashion conscious, the store also offers the Bellissimo brand, encompassing the latest trends of the season. 

Feeling active? Hit the gym or get ready to join a trail

Snap Fitness offers a fantastic state of the art gym with a great range of equipment and a timetable of classes – and it is open 24/7 meaning you can fit in that all-important gym workout at a time to suit you.

Our spectacular Food Festival will return on June 15 and 16 with thousands of foodie fans expected to visit over the weekend. Those attending can expect to enjoy dozens of food and drink traders, live music, children’s rides, free face painting, street entertainment, a bar area and much more.

Getting to Fox Valley couldn’t be easier. There are regular bus services, while local taxi firm Valley Cabs operate 24/7.  We also operate a 4 hours free parking policy.
