Zorro Lounge team boost local charity funds

The team at the new Zorro Lounge café bar at Fox Valley in north Sheffield have helped boost a local charity’s funds in their first two months of trading.

The restaurant opened in October and soon after launching the Zorro Lounge team pledged to donate a portion of the profits from the sale of coffee and burgers to the Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre - raising a fantastic £1208.80 for the charity.

The charity cheque was handed over to the team from the Leisure Centre at a special presentation at Fox Valley.

The funds will be spent helping to pay for the installation of new steps into the main swimming pool at the centre.

Leisure Centre manager Andy Clarke said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to the team from Zorro Lounge who chose our lovely community leisure centre to benefit from this great initiative in their first months of trading.

“The money they have donated with really help to significantly improve access for many people, especially those with balance and strength issues who struggle to enter our pool with the step ladder we currently have fitted.”

Kayleigh Marron, from the Fox Valley team, said: “Zorro Lounge is a great addition here at Fox Valley and it’s fantastic that the team have made this donation to a fantastic local cause to mark their first months of trading.”
