Zorro Lounge due for autumn opening at Fox Valley

15 August 2018

Work has started this month on creating a brand new casual restaurant and bar at north Sheffield’s Fox Valley shopping centre.

The popular brand Lounges will be opening in October with its new Zorro Lounge in a £550k investment at the award-winning centre.

The company is currently transforming the former Central Bean coffee shop unit at Fox Valley into a stunning, quirky and casual dining experience bringing something completely different for visitors and shoppers.

The new café bar will cover 3,225 sq. ft. in the busy piazza area - 25 new jobs will be created.

The move is part of a plan to create a new restaurant offer at the award winning shopping centre - with a new restaurant quarter by the entrance to the centre.

Other changes include the creation of a new unit in the piazza area as well as a new Mediterranean-inspired restaurant and bakery which is due to open in the Independent Quarter at Fox Valley.

The centre is already home to Ponti’s Italian Kitchen as well as a new KerbEdge Lounge which opened at the centre last month. Costa Coffee is also opening a new coffee shop and cafe inside Sandersons Department store this week.

Zorro Lounge will join the line up in October with a great menu focussed on casual dining from breakfast through to dinner as well as a great cocktails and drinks menu.

Founded in 2002 the company now has Lounges and Cosy Clubs across the UK - the name Zorro Lounge has been chosen for the new Fox Valley restaurant as Zorro is Spanish for Fox.

Fox Valley is owned and managed by Dransfield Properties, Operations Director Medi Parry-Williams said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Zorro Lounge to Fox Valley later this autumn. The cool and quirky concept is perfect for the centre and we really love the name.

“Attracting a wider restaurant offer to the north side of Sheffield and creating a restaurant quarter here at Fox Valley is a big part of our strategy as we move into the centre’s third year.

“We are creating a full dining out offer in a beautiful setting with convenient parking - this is definitely something our shoppers and visitors tell us that they want to see here at Fox Valley. “

Phil Kinsella, operations manager, the Lounges said: “We’re really looking forward to throwing the doors open at Zorro Lounge and showing the locals how to Lounge in style. Fox Valley is a fantastic location for us, and the team are looking forward to becoming part of the local community, and will support local groups and initiatives wherever possible.”
