Xupes and Sandersons announce pre-loved collaboration at Yorkshire department store
27 November 2023
The luxury pre-loved fashion brand Xupes has launched its first bricks and mortar in-store concept in the north of England – selecting Sandersons Department Store in Sheffield for a stunning new concession.
The collaboration brings a fabulous collection of pre-loved designer brands to Sandersons shoppers as well as access to the wider Xupes range.
The collection includes beautiful designer handbags, scarves and accessories and can be found in a stunning branded area at Sandersons’ Fox Valley store, which is due to be officially launched with a VIP event in December.
The
Xupes team has curated the selection of handbags for the new in-store concept
which include Hermès, vintage Chanel Classic Flap Bags, Louis Vuitton, and
Fendi.
Xupes was founded in 2009 in Hertfordshire and has built up a strong customer base to become one of the leading UK retail companies in the growing pre-loved luxury market. Discerning shoppers are increasingly choosing trusted pre-loved brands like Xupes to purchase luxury items.
Pre-loved designer handbags can be great investment pieces and the vintage and pre-loved luxury market is a fast-growing sector. Retail value sales of luxury goods in the UK grew by 7% in 2023, standing at £48.9 billion with the second-hand luxury market also experiencing remarkable growth.
The Sandersons buying team has researched the trend and the fabulous range of the world’s most sought-after handbags and accessories, is now available at their flagship store at Fox Valley in north Sheffield.
Xupes sits alongside a brand line up including luxury fragrances from Penhaligons, Chanel and Parfum de Marly, as well as women’s fashion brands Holland Cooper, Max Mara and Marella.
The Xupes and Sandersons collaboration brings together two brands committed to exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge alongside a luxury shopping experience.
Shoppers can browse the in-store collection as well as having access to the wider Xupes range, with an option to select items for bespoke viewings in store. The Xupes concession will also serve as a convenient drop-off point for customers who wish to sell their luxury items.
Reece Morgan, co-director of
Xupes, said: “We have been keen for some time to have a physical presence in
the north of England. We’re so excited to be working with Sandersons on our
first in store concession, bringing our pre-loved range to Yorkshire.
“This collaboration allows us to bring our unique online shopping experience directly to our customers, leveraging Sandersons' strong retail presence to reach a wider audience. We have a really fantastic collection for our shoppers and Sandersons has provided the perfect backdrop to showcase our beautiful pieces.”
Brand Consultant for Sandersons, Rebecca Dransfield, identified Xupes as a potential brand partner after using the company herself to successfully find a replacement for a much-loved designer handbag which was stolen.
The search for a replacement featured in the hit Channel 4 documentary series “Second Hand for 50 Grand” - inspiring the collaboration for the two brands.
Rebecca said: “Sandersons has always strived to offer something different to the shopping experience and bringing these amazing designer names to Yorkshire is just fantastic for the store and for our shoppers.
“We are really excited to be working with the Xupes team and share their passion for a great customer experience and fabulous products. The Xupes attention to detail and product knowledge is fabulous and the Sandersons team are undergoing training so we can share that in store product knowledge from day one.”

online and in-person shopping experiences, at their Victorian Barn showroom in
Hertfordshire, Xupes is redefining the pre-owned market through service,
authenticity, and meaningful connections.
Set apart by
their passion to go the extra mile, Xupes is disrupting the pre-loved shopping
experience stereotype. Reece Morgan and Debra Willis, with a combined 35-years
of experience in buying, styling, and luxury retail, lead their team with an
unwavering attention to detail, from the sourcing of products to their customer
service. It is this commitment to excellence which has garnered Xupes the trust
from a loyal community of clientele which includes some of the world’s elite,
as well as A-listers such as the Kardashians.
Sourcing and
selling luxury pre-owned items from jewellery and bags to accessories, Xupes is
trusted to deliver items which last a lifetime. The company’s five-point,
multi-touch authentication process ensures every piece undergoes a technical
examination of specific components, a thorough inspection of craftsmanship,
verification of all branding and even a final sense check. Handling thousands
of items means the Xupes team are constantly developing their knowledge and
adapting to the changing world of luxury goods.
Inspired by a
personal love of design, their team are constantly on the hunt for the most
unique and prized items to satisfy all tastes. From seasoned collectors to
first-time buyers, the specialist knowledge and passion for pre-loved of every
person working behind the scenes ensures everyone is catered for.
With each
transaction, Xupes aims to encourage people to buy less but buy better. With
fast fashion taking a significant toll on the environment, Xupes takes pride in
knowing their products have a positive social and environmental impact that
will continue to give joy and awe, rather than contributing to the world's
waste problem.
Their pioneering
status in the luxury second-hand industry resulted in Xupes securing their own
Channel 4 TV Show, Second Hand for 50 Grand. Hugely popular, it shined a light
on the hard work which goes into sourcing pieces for the luxury second-hand market,
and the benefits of second-hand shopping.
