Work starts on new ice cream parlour at Fox Valley
4 June 2018
Work is underway this week to build a brand new unit in the piazza area of Fox Valley – improving the outdoor seating area and creating space for a new ice cream parlour at the centre.
The 1,000 sq. ft. unit is currently under construction in the area between Central Bean and Ponti’s Italian Kitchen.
The work is expected to be completed in August and will create a stunning new unit as well as a new location for the Fox Valley outdoor television - the piazza area is open as usual throughout the works.
The Fox Valley Weekly Market and the monthly Farmers Market is being held in a new location in the car park next to the piazza area while the work is underway and the busy schedule of musical entertainment in the centre’s bandstand will not be affected.
Since the centre opened in June 2016 the landscaped area around the cafés and restaurants has become a really popular focal point for shoppers and visitors with its multi jet fountains and large TV screen.
Centre manager at Fox Valley, Sandra Barley, said: “We know how popular the piazza area is with our visitors so we’re delighted to be making these improvements to offer something new and different.
“It’s going to look fantastic when the work has been completed and we have a few other changes and improvements coming up in the next few weeks so watch this space.”
Further details will be announced later in the summer about the operator of the new piazza area kiosk.
