Support local at Sheffield's Fox Valley shopping centre as Makers Market returns

Shoppers are invited to support local businesses at Fox Valley this weekend as the popular monthly Makers Market returns for the first time this year.
More than 30 stallholders will be at the popular Stocksbridge-based shopping centre on Saturday and Sunday (March 2 and 3) between 10am and 3pm.
Claire Biltcliffe, Centre Manager at Fox Valley shopping centre, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome back the Fox Valley Makers Market, the variety of local and independent traders guarantees to offer a great range of products and gifts.
“Our fantastic stores which include Sandersons Boutique Store, JoJo Maman Bébé and Go Outdoors will also be open for you to enjoy some retail therapy. Our onsite Italian, Ponti’s Italian Kitchen, also have a brand new breakfast menu for you to enjoy.”
The event serves as the perfect opportunity to support local small businesses and to shop for yourself or to find a unique and personal Mother’s Day gift.
Visitors can expect to find stalls offering clothing, handmade crafts, delicious treats and even goodies for your four-legged friends across the weekend from regular traders including Gifts of Love, Lavender Stitches and Flossy’s Dog Goodies.
The market will also welcome new traders Crafty Bubble with their wonderful selection of cake toppers, charms and boards to give your baking a true “wow” factor, Alvi’s Homemade with their authentic Indian curries and sides and Cocoa Drop, bringing their delicious range of handmade luxury chocolates.
The market will be held in partnership with the centre’s adopted charity for this year, The Dransfield Foundation.
Celebrating their 10th birthday this year, the charity focuses on supporting local families and children with life-limiting or terminal illness.
The Fox Valley car park offers four hours free parking with all day parking available for just £3.50.
The centre team is always on the lookout for new independent traders to join their regular weekly and monthly markets.
