Shoppers travel in style on new Fox Valley Express

5 August 2017

Customers at Fox Valley in north Sheffield can now travel around the centre in style with a unique free shuttle service which has just been launched at the award winning shopping centre.

The customised “golf buggy” style electric vehicle will operate a weekend service between different parts of the centre and is being driven by Fox Valley host David Way, he’ll be dressed in classic plus fours and tank top inspired by the James Bonds films of the 1960s and 70s.

David will also chat to shoppers about the history of the former steelworks site and be on hand to help out with shopping and customer information.

The style of the buggy is inspired by the classic styling of a Rolls Royce and can seat up to six people.

Fox Stops, where the buggy will pick up and drop off, have been installed at Sandersons, Seasalt and the market area at Fox Valley. The service will initially run every Saturday and Sunday from 11am-4pm. It will also be used for special events at the centre.

Centre manager Annabel Plumtree said: “We are always looking for new ways to improve the customer experience here at Fox Valley and the new shuttle service is another unique experience for our shoppers.

“It is definitely going to be popular with our younger visitors but we hope it will also be a useful service for some our older shoppers who may find it quite a long walk getting from one end of the centre to the other.

“The buggy looks fantastic and we’re confident it will go down really well and David’s vintage style costume definitely brings a little bit of theatre to the centre.”
