New north Sheffield wedding venue unveiled

There’s now a new place to say “I do” as north Sheffield’s award winning Fox Valley has been licensed by the local authority to hold wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships.

Couples can now tie the knot in a ceremony at the town centre development after Fox Valley was approved and awarded a licence to hold weddings.

A wedding service or civil partnership can take place in the beautiful new bandstand at Fox Valley which overlooks the fountain area and there is also the option of an indoor service in at Ponti’s Italian Kitchen as well at Blakes Tearoom at Sandersons Department Store.

Fox Valley is not only providing a brand new wedding ceremony location, the team have also put together a great range of wedding packages to suit all budgets.

Fox Valley is owned and managed by retail property specialists Dransfield Properties, the company’s Operations Director Medi Parry-Williams said that with the nearest Register Office to Stocksbridge being in Sheffield or Barnsley the centre will make a great wedding venue.

With the beautiful new band stand being installed earlier this year it created the ideal opportunity to explore hosting a range of events at the centre.

Medi added: “Having a shopping centre licenced for weddings may sound a little bit unusual but Fox Valley is definitely not a typical shopping centre.

“We pride ourselves on being very much part of the community and offering the opportunity for people to have their wedding ceremony here is something we are really excited about - the nearest Register Office is around 10 miles away.

“As soon as the beautiful new bandstand was installed we could see what a great venue the centre could make for a lovely wedding. We really can’t wait to host our first Fox Valley wedding.”

Wedding services will take place in the tranquil fountain and bandstand area and indoor services will be available in Pontis Italian Kitchen’s private function room both with a capacity of 70 guests.

Pontis is also offering an evening reception package with a capacity of 120 guests in the upstairs private dining area.

Other daytime and evening reception packages and catering choices are available in locations across the centre including the beautiful Blakes Tea Room located inside Sandersons Boutique.

Each wedding package can be tailor made to suit the needs of individual couples and weddings will be available on weekdays and weekends.

Retailers across Fox Valley are also offering wedding guests special discounts – including help you get ready for the big day including Hummingbird Bridal Studios which is due to open in January 2018.

Sandersons Department Store will also offer a special discount on their Wedding Gift service as well as a wrap and deliver service and other retailers to get involved include Sorelle Jewellery.
