New look for Sheffield’s independent department store as it expands its brands

9 May 2019

North Sheffield’s boutique department store Sandersons has unveiled a stunning new look this month as well as introducing a fantastic range of new brands.

Sandersons has undergone a series of internal changes as part of a wider investment in the store, which started with the creation of a brand-new ladies and men’s Barbour areas, extending the menswear range and introducing Barbour International.

The store’s handbag area has also undergone a new refurbishment and is now home to additional brands including Radley, Bessie London, Zohara and Gianni Conti which sit alongside existing brands Ted Baker, Katie Loxton, Tommy Hilfiger and Joules.

The new department is also championing a number of vegan-friendly brands including LaBante London and Kipling which sit alongside some fabulous vegan brands in the store’s  Beauty Room.

As an independent store, the team at Sandersons has a strong ethos of working with other independent businesses and in house nail bar and floristry service - both local and  independent businesses - have both seen huge growth in turnover following investments in their areas within the store.

The importance of working with family-run and like-minded businesses doesn’t stop there- Pettits of Mexborough launched a brand new ladies footwear concession in March this year and has seen a strong performance in the first two months of trading and the Pete McKee micro gallery has also had a makeover with a new range of products and prints.

Sandersons has south Yorkshire’s only Pete McKee pop up gallery outside the famous Yorkshire artist’s Sharrow Vale gallery, and the store will be the location of an exclusive Q&A book signing event with the Sheffield Artist.

The latest new arrival to Sandersons is the store’s brand new Clarins counter, which marks the beginning of the re-modelling of the stores Beauty Lounge. A new organics skincare area and a wellness spa will also be launched later in the summer.

Lisa Fox has been the Store Manager of Sandersons since opening in September 2016. Lisa said: “It is a really exciting time for Sandersons, with lots of changes to the look of the store and the range of products we have available to our growing number of Sandersons shoppers.

“Our team are constantly working hard to introduce new brands and services to our customers to offer a completely unique experience when visiting our store.”
