May Farmers’ Market marks Tour de Yorkshire weekend

30 April 2018

Fox Valley will be hosting the centre’s monthly Farmers’ Market this Saturday (May 5th) with a fantastic line up of traders and some great entertainment planned.

The centre will also be celebrating the Tour de Yorkshire which takes place over the weekend - one year on after the Fox Valley hosted the dramatic finish of the major cycling event in 2017.

The cycling action will be screened on the centre’s big screen on what will be day three of the annual race.

Farmers’ Market favourites due to take part this Saturday include Ellis Fresh Fruit and Veg, New York Cheesecake, The Old Bridge Bakery and the Sheffield Candle Company.

And this month we are also welcoming a few new faces at the Farmers’ Market including Cocoa Drops who will be bringing their delicious array of handmade chocolates to the monthly market.

The Fox Valley Farmers’ Market can be found in the piazza area and Independent Quarter at the award winning centre. This weekend’s event will also have music in the centre’s bandstand from the singer-songwriter Matt Bilby from 12pm until 2pm and there will also be free face painting.

Centre Manager Sandra Barley said: “We have a great Farmers’ Market planned this Saturday with some of our fantastic regular traders as well as some new faces joining us. We’re also looking forward to welcoming Matt Bilby who will be performing on our bandstand from 12pm - 2pm.”
