Fox Valley's October Farmers' Market celebrates British Food Fortnight

The team at Fox Valley are preparing for their monthly Farmers’ Market which takes place on Saturday (7th October).

The Fox Valley Farmers’ Market showcases high quality local produce and gifts on the first Saturday of every month.

This month’s theme is British food as the market falls during “British Food Fortnight”- the largest national celebration of British food and drink which promotes the benefits of buying and eating local products.

October also marks “National Pork Month” and to celebrate this, the Greedy Little Pig hog roast company will be serving top quality pork and apple sandwiches as the markets’ hot-food-to-go offering.

This month’s fantastic line up of traders also includes the Cheese Shop from Holmfirth, Frazer’s Coffee Roasters from Carbrook and Ellis Fresh Fruit and Veg from Rotherham.

The Sheffield Candle Company and Ginnistam Teddies are also among the hand crafted items and gift stalls joining this month’s Fox Valley Farmers’ Market. Sweet treats will be available from Fox Valley’s favourite- Crepes to Go!

Fox Valley Centre Manager Annabel Plumtree said “The launch of the Farmers’ Market last month was a huge success and we have had great feedback from our visitors.”

“This month we are really excited to be celebrating all things British and to promote the importance of buying local produce.”

The Fox Valley Farmers’ Market takes place on the first Saturday of every month 9am-3pm in the piazza area at Fox Valley.
