Fox Valley team prepare to showcase local talent at two day Food and Music Festival

15 May 2019

The Fox Valley team are counting down the days to the centre’s annual Food and Music Festival in June and have a fantastic line up of chefs ready to cook up some delicious dishes in the demo kitchen.

Chefs from some of the centre’s fantastic on-site restaurants will be showcasing their skills with a range of dishes during the two-day festival which falls on June 15th and 16th.

On the Saturday the talented cooks will be preparing everything from beautiful breads to fine Italian cuisine and delicious deserts.

The demo kitchen will be in the main Food and Music Festival area near Home Bargains which will also feature more than 50 food and drink traders including an array of delicious food to go options.

Rob Huza from Ponti’s Italian Kitchen will be taking part in the cooking demos as well as Alessandro Vergine from Neomed,  Alan McGilveray from McGilveray’s Restaurant and Bar and Huwa Talbot from Fula Flavour

Greg Christofi from the Old Bridge Bakery will also be running a special baking workshop for young visitors to the Food and Music Festival.

The annual event falls on the weekend of the centre’s third birthday and this year the Fox Valley team are also working with the Valley Music Festival organisers who will be providing a packed weekend of musical entertainment.

There will also be a children’s craft and entertainment section as well as fairground rides and face painting.

Event manager of Fox Valley, Kayleigh Marron said: ‘We are delighted with the line up of the local chefs and are excited to see what delicious recipes they come up with.

“The demo kitchen is always a really popular feature of the festival and we will have a packed line up of great chefs throughout the Saturday.”

The Food and Music Festival is sponsored by Henry Boot, Stocksbridge Town Council and Live and Learn Consultancy Ltd.
