Fox Valley team prepare for September’s monthly farmers’ market

The team at Fox Valley are preparing for the monthly Farmers’ Market on Saturday 7th September.

The popular monthly market will run from 9am-3pm along the glass walkway close to Aldi and Home Bargains and local singer Pippa Crossland will be performing and entertaining shoppers from 12pm – 2pm.

The market will feature a host of local traders selling a selection of fresh produce and food to go options. As well as the Fox Valley usual traders there will also be some new faces at the event to look out for. 

Market regulars this month include The Fishcake Co and Ellis Fruit and Veg as well as The Old Bridge Bakery from Holmfirth who will have a stall filled with their delicious selection of breads, pastries and confectionary. 

Greek Olives will also have a stall filled with Greek olives, onion bhajis as well as offering various curries. 

Other traders making an appearance this month are Hepy’s Hog Roast who will be selling Hog roast sandwiches and burgers and Lily Pickles of Holmfirth who will be selling homemade preserves and pickles. The Little Badger Cider Company will also have a stall full of homemade cider and be sure to look out for Cocoa Drop who will be selling handmade chocolate. 

Dr Adrian Scott and his team will also have a stall to raise awareness of Type 2 Diabetes as part of the Healthy Valley Campaign which is running across the town that is being run.

Brownfish Design will have a stall selling upcycled jewellery and Good with Wood will be selling reclaimed wood products as well as Olive Made who will be selling children’s handmade clothing. CC’s (Neals Yard) are also set to make an appearance selling skincare products. 

Fox Valley Events Manager, Kayleigh Marron said: ‘‘This month we have a great mix of usual traders and some fresh new faces added into the mix. We have a fantastic selection of local produce as well as homemade household items – there is something for everyone to enjoy.”
