The Fox Valley team are putting together the final touches to the centre’s annual Food and Music festival which takes place on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June.

The Market area, sponsored by Neomed Mediterranean restaurant, will feature over 60 various food and drink stalls, free face painting, children’s fairground rides and live entertainment.

The Fox Valley team are also partnering with the Valley Music Festival to provide a packed schedule of talented local musicians and performers from 10am – 4pm on Saturday and from 10am to 4:30pm on Sunday.

Saturday 15th June will feature live cooking demonstrations from local chefs in the demo kitchen as well as live musical performances in the centre’s bandstand.

The Valley Music Festival will take over the main stage on Sunday 16th June with a fantastic line up of local music groups and dance acts.

Special guest Madame Zucchini from Britain’s Got Talent will be in the bandstand performing live shows and workshops for all the family to enjoy on the Sunday.

The Fox Valley Food and Music Festival falls on the weekend of the centres 3rd birthday and to celebrate there is a special Birthday Bake Off competition taking place on Sunday 16th June.  The contenders of the competition will need to bring their birthday bakes to the bandstand from 12pm for judging at 2pm.

Fox Valley event manager Kayleigh Marron said: ‘We are really excited to bring a fantastic weekend of good food and live entertainment - It is shaping up to be a brilliant weekend that you will not want to miss!”

During the festival weekend the Fox Valley team are also partnering with Stagecoach to offer a free park and ride with services running from Chapeltown to Fox Valley via Tankersley and from Middlewood park and ride to Fox Valley. The full timetable can be found on the Fox Valley website.

Fox Valley will be raising money over the weekend for their new chosen charity, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. Bluebell Wood supports children from across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and parts of North Lincolnshire.

The Dransfield Foundation will also be donating a £500 music scholarship to the Valley Music Festival as part of the new partnership between the two organisations.
