Fox Valley Shoppers Bag it for Bluebell

11 August 2020

Fox Valley shoppers will have the chance to empty their wardrobes and clear their cupboards as ‘Bag it for Bluebell’ comes to Stocksbridge.

The shopping centre will be hosting the charity on Saturday 5th September to coincide with their popular Farmers’ Market.

It comes after Fox Valley extended their charity partnership with Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice after much of their planned fundraising activity had to be paused through the pandemic.

Now the shopping centre is very much looking forward to welcoming Bluebell Wood’s trusty collections van to collect shoppers’ previously loved items.

Rachael Dawes, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Bluebell Wood, said: “We’re delighted to have extended our charity partnership with Fox Valley and we can’t wait for the Farmers’ Market in September.

“Our Bag it for Bluebell days are always fantastically well received and, with each bag collected worth an average of £15, people’s generosity helps us make a real difference to local children and families.

“A big thank you to Fox Valley for welcoming us - our friendly team will look forward to meeting lots of shoppers in September.”

Bluebell Wood’s collection van will be parked near Iceland and Home Bargains, and all necessary safety precautions will be in place to make sure people feel safe when donating their items.

Bag it for Bluebell will then return on the first Saturday of each month following the September 5th visit.

Claire Reynolds from the Fox Valley Management Team said: “We’re delighted to welcome Bluebell Wood to Fox Valley and we’re confident our loyal customers will be happy to support such a fantastic charity.

“Bluebell Wood means a great deal to so many local families and we’re very much looking forward to working closely with them in the weeks and months ahead.”
