Fox Valley prepares for their first Teen Trader Market!

23 October 2019

The team at Fox Valley are getting ready for the Teen Trader Market set to take place this Sunday (27th October) from 10am until 3pm.

This one-off special event will give local youngsters the chance to experience the hustle and bustle of an authentic retail environment. The young traders will get the chance to sell their products or services to shoppers.

Finalist of The Apprentice 2012, Adam Corbally, will be at Fox Valley on Sunday to judge the teen market and give the young traders business advice and guidance. There is a £100 prize for the winner to go towards expanding and improving their business.

A whole host of traders will be there selling everything from food to craft as well as skincare and accessories.

NeoMed Mediterranean Restaurant and their sister company, The Old Bridge Bakery, will be sponsoring this event.
NeoMed Mediterranean Restaurant is located in the Independent Quarter of Fox Valley and The Old Bridge Bakery is located in Holmfirth. Both businesses are regular traders at Fox Valley’s weekly Friday Market as well as the Farmers’ Market – making them the perfect sponsors for this event.

Events Manager of Fox Valley, Kayleigh Marron said: “We are excited for our first Teen Trader Market this Sunday and we are looking forward to seeing what the young entrepreneurs are showcasing.

“We have numerous traders involved with this event so expect to see a range of various items such as furniture, crafts, soaps, sweets as well as skincare.

There are a limited number of spaces left to trade on the market – application forms can be found here https://www.foxvalleysheffield.co.uk/media/cmsFiles/Teen%20Trader%20Market%20Application%202019.pdf

The Vegan Market will be taking place the day before on Saturday 26th October from 10am until 3pm. It will also be located under the walkway near Home Bargains and takes place monthly – on the last Saturday of the month.

As well as this on the centre there is a weekly Friday market (10am – 4pm), as well as a Farmers’ Market which takes place on the first Saturday of every month from 9am until 3pm. The team also host a Craft Market which takes place the day after the Farmers Market every month from 10am until 3pm.
