FOX VALLEY MARKETS RE-OPEN THIS WEEK

2 June 2020

Fox Valley’s popular markets re-open this week with three days of themed markets planned at the north Sheffield shopping centre.

The Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced last week that outdoor markets would be permitted to re-open for trade from June 1st – and plans were immediately put in place for the safe return of the Fox Valley Market line up.

On Friday June 5th the centre will host the regular weekly market from 10am-4pm with popular traders including The Old Bridge Bakery, Joseph Cliff Fishmongers, Ryans Cheese and many other great local traders.

The market layout at the north Sheffield shopping centre has been altered to ensure social distancing can be observed and to allow extra space for queues.

As well as the weekly Friday Market this weekend will also see the return of the centre’s monthly Farmer’s Market which will take place on Saturday 6th June from 9am-3pm and the Sunday Craft Market from 10am-3pm.

The Farmer’s Market line-up includes Greek Olives, Patrick Capps Fishmongers, The Confectionary Lounge, Beau Tees, Ellis Fruit and Veg, The Cheese Shop and the Yorkshire Crepe Company.

Sunday’s Craft Market will see traders including Purple Pumpkin and Jwls Sewing Works who are selling specially made face coverings.

Tenant Liaison Executive at Fox Valley Claire Reynolds said: “We are really pleased to have the go ahead by the Government to allow our markets to trade again this week at the centre.

“Our market line up is a big part of Fox Valley and we are looking forward to seeing our popular local traders returning to the centre.”

Several essential retailers have traded throughout the lockdown at Fox Valley in line with the Government guidance and other stores can begin to re-open from June 15th, further details will be announced throughout the month.
