Fox Valley looks to a Sustainable Future

25 April 2022

Fox Valley is stepping up its sustainability program with a six figure investment in green initiatives around the centre.

Within the investment, the popular retail destination has purchased two new cardboard/polythene balers to enable more waste to be recycled and repurposed.

In addition to this, the centre has installed Instavolt charging points within the car park, LED motion-timed lighting within units and also introduced solar panels across all buildings.

Claire Reynolds, Centre Manager at Fox Valley, said: “Driving sustainability and becoming a green centre is a key priority for us here at Fox Valley.

“The two additional balers we’ve introduced, will allow our destination and its retailers to recycle up to one tonne of cardboard each month, which will be taken away and repurposed by our recycling partner.

“Our retailers are laser-focused upon delivering upon their own green objectives and it's crucial that we support them in this.”

Retailers include Sandersons Boutique Store who prides itself on stocking high quality sustainable fashion pieces which are made to last, Aldi who has committed to halving its plastic footprint by 2025 and Seasalt Cornwall who have pledged to be carbon net zero by 2040.

Claire added: “This investment isn’t the end of what we’re doing at Fox Valley. Becoming sustainable and sharing best practice with our customers and tenants is a key focus as we continue to develop and grow as a centre.”

The news comes after a number of lease renewals at Fox Valley which has seen Fit20, Fox Valley Car Wash and The Works - hers and sirs show their commitment to the centre for years to come.
