Food Festival marks BIG birthday weekend for Fox Valley

11 June 2018

The team at Fox Valley in north Sheffield are celebrating the centre’s second birthday this weekend with a packed programme of foodie fun and entertainment.

The centre’s first two day Food Festival is supported by the main sponsor Lexus Sheffield and will feature a fabulous line up of local and international produce as well as a fantastic range of food to go, entertainment and activities.

There’s even a Fox Valley Bake Off planned to find the area’s best budding bakers and on Sunday 17th June there will be a special vintage car display.

There’s a family picnic area and there will also be a prosecco bar and a beautiful vintage gin cart as well as a pop up bar from local favourite Bradfield Brewery –  vegan street food will be available as well as some gluten free options.

A full line up of musical entertainment is planned in the centre’s bandstand in the piazza area and on the main stage.

And as well as a delicious array of food and drinks, the event will also showcase the talents of a host of local chefs in the Fox Valley Food Festival Demo Kitchen which will be hosted by Dearne FM.

The event will be officially opened by the Mayor of Stocksbridge Cllr Julie Grocutt at 11am on Saturday 16th which will mark the start of the first session in the demo kitchen.

Fox Valley is owned and managed by Dransfield Properties and the company’s head office is based at the award winning shopping centre.

Operations Director at Dransfield Properties, Medi Parry-Williams, said: “It’s hard to believe Fox Valley is celebrating its second birthday this weekend and we are all really looking forward to marking the anniversary.

“This is our first two day Food Festival at Fox Valley and we’re working with some great local businesses and partners to make it a really special event

“Fox Valley has been so well received since the opening day in June 2016 and we’d like to thank all our customers and visitors who have supported us over the last two years.”

The Food Festival will run from 10am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday June 16th and 17th. A park and ride service will operate close to the Tankersley roundabout - look out for the signs.  To keep up to date with events at news at Fox Valley go to www.foxvalleysheffield.co.uk
