Festive fun continues with Elf on the Shelf at Fox Valley in Sheffield

4 December 2023

The festive fun is set to continue at Fox Valley this weekend as the Elf on the Shelf will be paying a visit to the shopping centre.

Santa’s helper will be at the popular Stocksbridge-based shopping centre to keep an eye on the girls and boys to make sure they’re all behaving themselves in time to receive their presents at Christmas.

Families will be able to catch the Elf roaming around the centre on Sunday, December 10, between 11.30am and 2.30pm. Feel free to have your picture taken with the character.

In addition, shoppers can also enjoy a brass band who will be performing on the morning of Saturday, December 9.

Claire Biltcliffe, centre manager at Fox Valley, said: “The Elf on the Shelf is a fun-filled Christmas tradition that has captured the hearts of children everywhere.

“The magical Scout Elves help Santa manage his nice list by taking note of a family’s Christmas adventures and reporting back to Santa at the North Pole nightly.

”This is a fantastic opportunity for a festive-filled family day out. So come along and join in the fun.”

This will be the latest in a series of festive events leading up to the big day, and follows on from the centre’s hugely popular Christmas lights switch on event.

The centre’s popular Sandersons Boutique Store will be hosting a special ‘Christmas Sparkle’ evening on Friday, December 8, from 6pm to 8pm.

Guests can enjoy one to one fashion advice, complimentary gift wrapping on all purchases, a live demo from Clarins, live music, goodie bags and the opportunity to spin the wheel for exclusive discounts and prizes.

Families will get the chance to meet the Grinch on Saturday, December 16. In addition, aSanta’s Grotto will be available on the Saturday and Sunday, providing a chance for families to capture magical moments and share their Christmas wishes with Santa Claus himself.

There will be a special Santa meet and greet event the following weekend on Saturday, December 23.

The popular Friday markets will continue to run at the centre between 10am and 3pm.

The centre team is always on the lookout for new independent traders to join their regular weekly and monthly markets.
