Crowds turn out for Fox Valley’s Halloween Spooktacular

1 November 2019

The team at Fox Valley held their annual Spooktacular event on Thursday 31st October with the crowds turning out for a packed evening of activities and entertainment.

There was a great line up of entertainment which was organised by In Yer Face Performing Arts as well as fantastic performances from Branching Out dance group and the Steel Valley Beacon Group.

Families could also enjoy free face painting as well as spooky buggy rides, pumpkin decorating and a slime workshop. Youngsters also took part in a spooky letter trick or treat hunt.

Meet a Creature also came along to the event with some special visitors for youngsters to find out more about and foodie traders were also present at the event selling hot chocolate, fudge, cookies and cakes, snow cones, doughnuts and candy floss.

There was also a fancy-dress parade headed by the pumpkin stiltwalkers - Liliana aged 5 won first place and James aged 8 won second place. Third place went to Olivia aged 6 and the Ellisons won the best dressed family.

The winners all received a Halloween hamper and the parade was judged by staff from Sports Direct, Regatta, Crawshaw’s and Dunkin’ Donuts.

Fox Valley Events Manager Kayleigh Marron said: “We were delighted with the turn out of our annual Spooktacular event – this event was a perfect way to start our autumn and winter events and we have lots more happening in the coming weeks.”
