Crowds turn out for Fox Valley’s Christmas market

10 December 2019

The team at Fox Valley hosted their first Christmas market last Saturday (7th December) with crowds of shoppers turning out for the festive event.

The event took place from 10am until 5pm in the market area of the north Sheffield shopping centre near Home Bargains and Aldi.
There was live music throughout the day which began with a festive set from the Salvation Army Brass Band followed by performers including Graham Lindley, Dean Finelli and Georgie Harrison.
Live music in the bandstand also kept shoppers entertained throughout the day with the Oughtibridge Band, the ever-popular Sheffield Rock Choir and The Silver Spectrum Wind Band.
A great line up of traders sold everything from craft and gifting items to food and drink to go options – including from The Greedy Greek Deli and Yabba as well as Scrumptious Foods with their delicious cakes.
Crafty traders such as Step into Eco, Natural Design and Sugar and Spice were also at the event selling beauty, homemade furniture and fashion accessories.
And Fox Valley tenants Dunkin’ Donuts and Dominos also got involved at the festive market handing out free samples.
Alongside the market there was also a giant snow globe, trampolines and free face painting allowing young visitors to get involved with the event.
Fox Valley Events Manager Kayleigh Marron said: “We are delighted with how our Christmas market turned out and think it was the perfect way to get shoppers and visitors into the festive spirit”
On Sunday the centre hosted back to back performances from Tom Sealey and Alexandra Carlos in the centre’s band stand area.
