The health and fitness franchise company fit20 will officially launch its first UK studio in north Sheffield next week.

Karen Darke MBE will cut the ribbon on the brand new fitness concept which can be found at the first floor at Harry Brearley House at Fox Valley.

Karen who is from Halifax is a Paralympic cyclist and took the gold medal in the women's time trial at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. She will cut the ribbon at Fit20 on Wednesday January 25th at the start of an open afternoon organised to showcase the brand new facility.

Based on a wealth of research and experience, fit20 offer unique 20 minute work-outs aimed at people who find the gym can be too time consuming, impersonal or just too much hassle to go to.

The work outs consist of slow and controlled high intensity training in a precision cooled studio- which means no sweat and no need to change into gym clothes making it the perfect work out to fit into a busy schedule or a working day.

Sessions are taken 1-2-1 with a fully trained Personal Trainer using the latest technology to track results and progress.

The innovative Dutch concept was brought to the UK by husband and wife team Niri and Catherine Patel, both 49 and from Holmfirth The UK Franchise company’s Fox Valley studio will also serve as a training facility for franchisees from across the UK and is managed by Master Trainer Deborah Sparks-Kerss, from Lincolnshire.

Niri said:  “We are absolutely delighted that Karen Darke will be officially opening fit20 for us next week, she really is an inspirational woman who believes that we are all stronger than we might think, braver than we might believe and more able than we might feel.

"We look forward to showing our studio and our unique concept at the opening -  everyone is welcome to come along and find out more about both the Fit20 training and Franchise opportunity."

fit20 can be found on the first floor of Harry Brearley House at Fox Valley in the company’s brand new purpose built offices and fitness suite just above Timbuktu and Martyn Kemp Opticians.

Annabel Plumtree, Centre Manager at Fox Valley, said: “We are delighted to welcome the fit20 team to Fox Valley and wish them all the very best with their venture.”
