New Trek store to open at Sheffield’s Fox Valley

24 October 2017

The region’s first Trek Bike shop is due to open at Fox Valley, north Sheffield, next month with a brand new concept store.

The new store will be in the former Full Gas unit at Fox Valley which is currently being transformed into one of only five Trek owned stores in the UK and will house the American cycling company’s full family of brands.

The store will offer a full ranges of services, included a service centre with Trek trained technicians, bike fitting studio and the ability to customise your dream bike with the Project One service

The store will be transformed to a new design, offering the very best range of Trek bikes to suit every rider's needs along with a stylish Segafredo coffee bar where customers can gather to discuss their needs with the store team.

The 5,000 sq. ft. store will stock all the latest mountain bikes, road bikes along a full range of e-bikes and children’s bikes. There will also be a full range of high quality Bontrager components and accessories including wheels, helmets, shoes and clothing.

Called Trek Bicycle Store Sheffield, the store will join Trek’s other retail stores which are in Wilmslow, Manchester, Milton Keynes and Shrewsbury.

The Trek Sheffield store is on the doorstep of some of the region’s best road and mountain bike routes and trails. Fox Valley was on the world cycling stage in April this year when the centre hosted the dramatic finish of the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire.

The nearby Wharncliffe Woods are also home to some of the best mountain bike trails and the backdrop to world class events – they have also provided the training ground for World Downhill Mountain Bike Champion Steve Peat.

The infamous Pearoyd Lane is less than half a mile from Fox Valley and is regularly used as the location for the British National Hill Climb Championships – the National Student Hill Climb takes place there on Sunday October 28th with the store hosting the event.

Simon Bentley, European Retail Director for Trek said: “Fox Valley is a fantastic location for our newest Trek store and we can’t wait for our customers to see the results of the transformation we are currently working on.

“Yorkshire is firmly on the cycling map – the growth in the sport in this area in recent years has been huge and we’re delighted to be a part of that with our new store.”

Mark Dransfield, Managing Director of Dransfield Properties which owns and manages Fox Valley, said: “We’re extremely proud that Fox Valley is home to a number of “firsts” and to have the region’s first Trek store is great news.

The store will open on Friday the 3rd November, with a grand opening planned for later in the year

The new store will hold regular store ride out and event. For more information about Trek visit www.trekbikes.com and to find out more about Fox Valley visit www.foxvalleysheffield.co.uk
