GDA move to new Fox Valley HQ

After almost 30 successful years in Barnsley, GDA Creative Marketing is preparing for expansion with a move to new premises at Fox Valley in Stocksbridge.

Fox Valley was developed on the site of the old Tata steelworks by Dransfield Properties and has seen a transformation of Stocksbridge on the northern outskirts of Sheffield, with the launch of a new town centre made up of designer stores, restaurants, coffee shops and a development of 118 new homes by Stonebridge Homes.

And as part of that massive regeneration, GDA has bought Fox House, one of the most high-profile offices on the development and one of the few buildings that has been refurbished from part of the original steelworks, so retaining the unique character of the site.

“This marks the start of a new era for our business,“ said GDA Managing Director Alistair Farrant.

“GDA was founded in Barnsley in 1987, we have always been based in the town and we are very proud of all the work we have done there over the years.

“But when the opportunity came up to buy a property at the new Fox Valley development it was too good not to take.“

GDA’s current client list includes Taylor Wimpey, Linden Homes, Kingspan, Pegler Yorkshire, Stonebridge Homes, Distinction Doors and Martin & Co Estate Agents and the move will allow the company to expand its team as its portfolio grows.

“We have very much enjoyed our time in Barnsley but feel we have out-grown our current building,“ said Alistair.

“Fox House will give our whole team the chance to work in one large space rather than in separate offices, which is ideal for a collaborative business like GDA.

“Bringing our creative, digital and account management teams together will help to integrate the service even better, whilst the inspiring surroundings will no doubt help the ideas process too.

“Having such a fabulous choice of shops and the stunning Ponti’s Italian Kitchen on the doorstep are also going to be great for us and I suspect most of our clients will want to arrange their meetings at ours for the foreseeable future!“

The GDA website, email addresses and mobile numbers are all unchanged.

GDA were advised on the deal by Lupton Fawcett, Future Life Wealth Management and Fernie Greaves, while funding came from Barclays.
